Their active ingredients include Triclosan and Salicylic acid.
Triclosan in this product can regulate sebum production, help to keep skin shine free all day, prevent formation of acne and pimples by reducing bacterial growth in the pores and prevent inflammation. Triclosan contains in this product is an antibacterial and antifungal agent. It is a polychloro phenoxy phenol.

5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)phenol

This organic compound is a white powdered solid with a slight aromatic odour. It is chlorinated aromatic compound that has functional groups representative of both ethers and phenols. Phenols often show antibacterial properties. Triclosan is only slightly soluble in water, but soluble in ethanol, methanol, diethyl ether, and strongly basic solutions such as a 1 M sodium hydroxide solution. Triclosan can be synthesized from 2,4-dichlorophenol.

Besides, salicylic acid contains in this product can slow down accumulation of dead skin and oil granules that clog pores and help to remove existing blackheads and whiteheads.
Salicylic acid is a monohydroxybenzoic acid, a type of phenolic acid and a beta hydroxyl acid. This colourless crystalline organic acid is widely used in organic synthesis and functions as a plant hormone. It is derived from the metabolism of salicin. In addition to being an important active metabolite of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), which acts in part as a prodrug to salicylic acid, it is probably best known for its use in anti-acne treatments. The salts and esters of salicylic acid are known as salicylates.

Salicylic acid has the formula C6H4(OH)COOH, where the OH group is ortho to the carboxyl group. It is also known as 2-hydroxybenzoic acid. It is poorly soluble in water (2 g/L at 20 °C). Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid or ASA) can be prepared by the esterification of the phenolic hydroxyl group of salicylic acid with the acetyl group from acetic anhydride or acetyl chloride.
ln modern medicine, salicylic acid and its derivatives are used as constituents of some rubefacient products.
When buying a skin care product, we must always check the ingredients and take note which one is good or bad for the skin. This is important because, some product may contain toxic chemical which are harmful for the skin.
Thus, always have a look on product ingredients before purchasing a skin care products!
